Lotfollah haji
B. Sc. Civil Engineering., M, Sc. environmental engineering, P.eng.
CEO, Owner, Managing Engineer
Mr. Haji is an Environmental Leader with 25 years plus experience in various industries. He has a Master’s degree in environmental engineering specialized in municipal water and wastewater design, collection, treatment and distribution system, design, and operation of municipal landfills. Mr. Haji has worked over two decades for mining and other natural resources companies in Alberta and Saskatchewan. He led a major reclamation program involving a five-year research program which led to accelerated reclamation of over 200 hectares of highly disturbed land in extremely harsh environment in northern Saskatchewan. Thus, a scientific approach to reclamation was developed and implemented with nearly 100% survival rate for the climax species. He has written and or edited dozens of environmental site assessment reports. Recognized for his leadership, management, and technical expertise, Mr. Haji has also led teams of professionals and contracted consultants. In addition to his advanced degree in environmental engineering, Mr. Haji has also completed a Masters Certificate in Project Management and is a lead auditor for international Environmental and Quality management standards. Mr. Haji has overall responsibility for leading as well as the day to day operation of the organization.
DEIDRA AITKEN

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT & HR SPECIALIST
Ms. Aitken is the Business Management & HR Specialist for the ECO ENGINEERING LTD. team. Ms. Aitken received her Bachelor of Arts in English (2013) and Master of Business Administration (2018) from the University of Saskatchewan. She has a combined five years of education, consulting, and working locally and internationally (Denver, CO). She has specialized in small businesses to build branding, marketing, social media, financial and email marketing strategies to grow their target market and customer base while saving time and resources. Her methods have saved companies hundreds of hours by automating processes and eliminating duplicative work for both marketing and general business processes. Ms. Aitken is now happily based back in Saskatchewan to continue to help grow the province’s industries and assets.
RAMIN SAFAEI JAZI
M.Sc., G.I.T. (SK)
HYDROGEOLOGIST/ENVIRONMENTAL GEOSCIENTIST
Mr. Safaei is a hydrogeologist and groundwater specialist. Mr. Safaei was graduated from the Azad university of Esfahan in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Geology. He also holds three master’s degrees from the Science and Research University of Tehran in 2008, Kent State University of the United States in 2012, and University of Alberta in 2016. His area of expertise includes groundwater flow and contaminant transport simulation, water supply studies, and physical impacts of Carbon Dioxide injection in saline aquifers. Previously working as a field geologist and hydrogeologist, he was responsible for implementing hydrogeological investigations and assessments, groundwater flow and contaminant transport simulation and groundwater-surface water monitoring and sampling. Mr. Safaei also implements the field data collection and interpretation under the supervision of project managers and senior staffs and helps in writing technical reports.
COLLEEN GLOVER

SENIOR DESIGN TECHNICIAN
Ms. Glover graduated with a Computer Aided Drafting and Design Diploma in 2007 from Academy Canada in Newfoundland. In 2012, Colleen received her C.Tech. designation with TPSK (formerly SASTT). Her expertise includes Land Survey drafting, geotechnical drafting, roadway Civil 3d design & drafting, surveying, municipal infrastructure design, land design, and project management. She has worked on projects including the Rocanville mine berm, Tisdale subdivision, road design, and also stormwater, water and sewer system design for new subdivisions, parking lot drainage designs, Trail designs, and culverts in Saskatchewan. Ms. Glover designs ECO’s drafting and completes all figures and drawings for our clients while supporting the team on projects and administrative tasks.
DALE HACKINEN
B.COMM., CA, CPA (non-practicing)
SENIOR BUSINESS MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT
Mr. Hackinen is a financial and management consultant with more than 30 years’ experience in regional and global business environments, including corporate financial planning (mining and oil and gas industries), and international management consulting. He has an extensive background in financial management, performance improvement, fixed asset analysis and valuations, budgeting and business strategy, marketing, and feasibility studies. His education includes a bachelor’s degree in commerce, Canadian chartered accountant professional development program, post-graduate in business strategic planning, international economics, finance, investment, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification. He has a solid track record in developing and overseeing implementation of rigorous financial controls, ERP and financial management systems, including budgeting, benchmarking, KPIs and asset management performance measures, policies, and processes.
MIKE COTE
SURVEYOR
Mr. Cote has more than 30 years of experience in legal land surveying and surveying for engineering projects. Most of his experience is conducting layout and construction surveying across Canada. Specific to ECO, Mr. Cote has conducted surveying for construction of engineered landfill, and topographical surveying for municipal landfills, industrial sites, and waterworks design. As a subcontractor, he also has conducted surveying for the City of Saskatoon’s water intake building and the new art centre. Mr. Cote completes ECO’s surveying data at our sites and provides the information to our draftsperson.
SHAHIN MASOUMZADEHI
P. ENG., M. SC.
Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Mr. Masoumzadeh is a Civil/Geotechnical Engineer with more than 20 years’ experience in various industries. He has two Master’s degrees in Civil and Geotechnical engineering. He has specialized in ground movement analysis & control, and rock mechanics & excavation engineering. His international experience in Geotechnical site investigation and engineering includes work in Alberta’s oil sand projects, ground movement modeling, field supervision of project development activities, inspection & monitoring of construction sites, laboratory testing, and breakwater construction monitoring. His advice on collapsible soils led to cost savings exceeding $10 million USD. Mr. Masoumzadeh’s experience also includes construction controls in mining, oil & gas and infrastructure projects in international settings. In addition to his excellent technical and project management skills, Shahin also has excellent interpersonal skills enabling him to focus on tasks that matter most and successfully completing project deliverables by evaluating operational performances to improve cost savings and maintaining high morale amongst project team members.
NAVID TAHERDIN
B. ENG., M.Sc.
Health and Safety advisor
Mr. Taherdin is a Certified Industrial Hygienist from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene with over 8 years of experience in occupational health and safety and engineering. Mr. Taherdin has a Master’s degree in Occupational and Environmental Hygiene and a Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering. He has designed, developed, and successfully implemented health and safety programs in oil and gas, manufacturing, mining, uranium milling, and construction industries. Mr. Taherdin is familiar with the Occupational health and Safety regulations of all western provinces and northern territories. He has conducted international health and safety corporate audits for world’s largest natural resourcing company, BHP Billiton. Mr. Taherdin acts as the health and safety advisor for the ECO team.
