Junior Environmental/Civil Engineer

Reports to: General Manager
Location: Saskatoon, SK (requires travel to project sits throughout the province)
Direct Reports: None
Key Relationships: General Manager, Geoscientists/Engineers, Business Management & HR Specialist, Project personnel, Draftsperson(s), etc.
Purpose
Provide engineering services where required
Provide environmental assessment and regulatory support for current and future projects.
Responsible to support key aspects of the processes for completion of projects
Assist senior staff

Business and Marketing Plan developed
ECO’s Business and Market Share expanded

Responsibilities

Ensure the implementation of HSE policies and procedures in regard to field crew and contractors
Promote team environment and teamwork
Job-Specific Duties
Assist in the collection of pertinent data for various phases of projects
Provide input to design of various municipal infrastructures
Assist geoscientists, engineers and senior management on project plans
Support the assembly of project deliverables
Support key relationships with clients and regulatory officers when required
Enter lab data and test results and format tables to review with geoscientists and engineers
Complete all project tasks assigned on budget and on schedule
Contribute to documents and reports required on various projects
Assist team to develop company policies and procedure documents related to engineering projects and tasks
Edit technical documents for grammar and overall readability
Assist team in researching and developing proposals

Education and Training
Third or fourth year student in or recent graduate from a recognized university working towards a Bachelor’s degree in, Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology or Hydrogeology
Training in HSE would be an asset
Experience:
Must have experience using AutoCAD and Civil3D
Knowledge of using a GPS Tremble R10 model will be beneficial
Preference will be given to applicants with 5 to 10 years of experience in drafting and surveying in municipal infrastructures and or resource management projects
